I want some new underwear. The eight or so VS briefs/bikinis that I have are holding up pretty well, but I'd like some new ones. The only problem? I'm cheap. So you can imagine how excited I was when a girl on one of the Internet communities I frequent asked me to be part of a panty exchange.
I know, I know, it sounds like some kind of weirdo function where we all get together and swap the underwear off our butts. But no. All you do is send one pair of new panties, with the tags still on, to the address at the top of the list. Then you move your name to the top of the list and send it to 6 of your female friends. Theoretically, you should get 36 pairs of panties in return.
It's hard to get women to participate in this. I've already been shot down a couple of times, and so far I think I've only got 2 of my required 6 participants. So if you're interested, you can e-mail me at caprice240 at hotmail.com (insert the necessary @; I'm trying to avoid spam) with the words "Panty Exchange" in the subject line. I'll forward the letter on to you.
I'm faithfully fulfilling my end of the deal. Come on, girls! I need those skivvies! You wouldn't want to see me going around with no underwear on. Not a pretty sight.
OK, so the sting of falling in yoga class has kind of subsided...so I'll talk about it a little. I honestly don't know how it happened. One minute I was in position, the next I was tipping forward, and before I knew it I was face down on the floor. I played it off real calm though, just standing up and saying "excuse me" - I did kind of disrupt the class - before going back to the position. But to make matters worse, the next time we went into that position, my instructor made a big deal of saying "Now be careful - we don't want anyone to get hurt!" Thank God I can't go this week. That will give people some time to forget.
I haven't been doing well in the exercise department lately. On Friday I didn't feel like going to the gym, so I went and played Frisbee in the park with Mark. I always take Saturdays off from working out so nothing happened that day. On Sunday I was going to go, but Mark and I were at my aunt's house until about 9 p.m., so it was really too late. On Monday, I came down with severe vertigo at work and Mark had to come drive me home. So I didn't have a car to get to the gym whenever I started feeling better. I suck.
I've been trying really hard, though, to be good in the eating department. On Tuesdays I have to go to this function at 7 a.m. that's catered with lots of yummy, greasy breakfast stuff. I used to load up my plates with biscuits and gravy, sausage and hashbrowns, but today I got eggs, potatoes, a small roll with a tiny sausage inside, and a bunch of fruit. And coffee. It's not as good as having light yogurt and a banana, but it's an improvement. For lunch I'm having two small sandwich rolls with lean ham, and an apple.
I'm also going to try going to the gym at lunchtime today, instead of waiting till 5. I can't stand going to the gym right after work. It's crowded and you can't get a machine. So maybe the middle of the day will work better for me. Added bonus: When 5:00 rolls around, I can just drag my lazy ass home instead of to Gold's.
